What is digital signage? Managing corporate screens from one place

Digital signage is closed-circuit broadcast software that shows content such as images, video, live streams, news, weather and exchange rates on one or more screens in a planned flow, managed remotely without touching the screens. For the organisation using it, it works as a corporate TV.

AerOS Digital Signage modules

• Media: JPG, JPEG, PNG, GIF and SVG images and MP4/H.264 and WebM video
• Web content: presentations, PDFs, web pages and live stream links
• News: about 100 items a day across 15 categories, refreshed every 5 minutes
• Finance: 14 currency and gold rates from 2 services including the Central Bank of Turkey
• Weather: 7-day forecasts for all 81 provinces
• Meeting information screen: Microsoft Exchange and Office 365 integration
• ZIP content and rich text

Each item can be limited to specific dates, days and hours.

Scene design

Screen layouts are built in the drag-and-drop design area of the admin panel, and properties such as background, border, shadow, blur and opacity are set without knowing CSS. The player component plays modules in sequence by seconds, count or loops; the panel component shows content simultaneously or with a delay, with entry and exit animations. This lets an organisation produce its own animations without depending on an outside agency.

Every change to a scene is stored as a version in the database, and earlier designs can be restored. Shared scenes can be reused across several flows.

Device management and reporting

Operating rules switch screens off after hours. Remote control, USB ports, orientation, input source, volume and picture mode are set remotely. Which content each device played, when and how many times, is reported daily, weekly and monthly.

AerOS Digital Signage v1.0 was released in 2021 and deployed in the Kentvizyon (İLBAK Holding) project in 2022. Contact us to discuss your screen network.
